The COVID-19 Additional Relief Fund (CARF) is a relief, not a grant, applied directly to business rates bills to reduce overall charge. This relief was introduced by the government to support those businesses affected by the pandemic but have been ineligible for previous Business Rates support (e.g. expanded retail relief). CARF is a discretionary scheme and applies to the 2021/22 year. Any applications received for this relief will be considered in line with LBWF policy for the CARF.
